TIME CAPSULE SURVEY
As part of the Voyageur’s Rendezvous at Rocky Mountain House National Historic Park in 1992, and as part of Rocky Mountain House’s Canada 125 celebration, the Alberta Centennial Voyageur Canoe Team built a Canoe Pavilion at the Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site. The 1967 race canoe was put on permanent display. Two time capsules were placed at the base of the display. One will be opened this year on July 1, 2017 and one to be opened in 2067.
As part of the Canada 150 Celebration, 2017 Canada 150 Voyageurs’ Rendezvous is organizing a TIME CAPSULE to be opened on Canada’s 200th Birthday celebration in 2067. We are calling on all members of the community to complete a survey to determine what type of items will be selected for the time capsule.
The new time capsule will be resealed with community contents in September 2017.
